The £10m Eastpoint Centre, in Southampton, is set to be repurposed into 2 blocks of flats and 21 three-storey houses. Specialist Piling Solutions were appointed to deliver 533 CFA piles in order to create a total of 128 new dwellings, in 2 blocks of flats with additional houses on the land. The centre, which closed January 2014, due to administration was given the green light for development in August 2022, after previous applications were rejected.
To address landscape concerns, developers plan to create an attractive green space, including 56 new trees, informal play areas, and clear footpath connections for easy pedestrian access. Furthermore, conditional approval has been granted for car parking, cycle storage, landscaping, and public open space provisions.
