Efficient bored piling for demanding foundation requirements
Contiguous Flight Auger (CFA) piling provides an efficient bored foundation solution for projects where load capacity, installation speed and reduced vibration are important considerations. A continuous flight auger is advanced into the ground before concrete is pumped through the hollow stem as the auger is withdrawn, forming the pile before reinforcement is installed.
The method can be used across a broad range of ground conditions and is particularly useful on busy or sensitive sites where the effects of driven piling need to be limited. Its continuous installation process also makes CFA piling well suited to projects requiring multiple pile positions and an efficient programme of works. The final pile design and installation approach can be tailored around structural loading, ground conditions and site constraints.

Productive installation across larger pile layouts
Versatile Application
Suitable across a broad range of project types
How Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) Piling Works
CFA piles are installed using a continuous flight auger advanced to the required depth. Concrete is pumped through the hollow stem as the auger is withdrawn, allowing the pile to be formed while the bore remains supported by the auger and concrete. Reinforcement is then installed into the fresh concrete in accordance with the pile design.
The continuous process makes CFA piling particularly effective where productivity and reduced vibration are important project considerations.
