Factory produced driven piles for dependable foundation support
Precast concrete piles are manufactured under controlled conditions before being transported to site and driven into the ground using specialist piling equipment. The displacement installation process provides a robust foundation solution without the need to excavate conventional pile bores.
Their consistent manufacture and efficient site installation make precast piles particularly suitable for developments requiring repeatable, durable foundation elements. As the pile displaces the surrounding soil during installation, comparatively little pile spoil is produced at ground level. Precast piling can therefore offer a practical solution for larger or repetitive foundation schemes where site conditions allow driven installation and the associated noise and vibration can be appropriately managed.

How Pre Cast Piling Works
Precast concrete piles are manufactured off site before being transported to the project and positioned at the required pile locations. Specialist piling equipment then drives each pile into the ground, with additional sections connected where required by the design.
Because the piles displace the surrounding ground rather than excavating a bore, installation can produce comparatively little pile spoil. The method is particularly effective where open site conditions allow an efficient sequence of driven foundation works.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does Precast piling generate noise and vibration?
As a driven technique, noise and vibration are important considerations when assessing suitability
Does Precast piling create much spoil?
Generally less than bored piling because the pile displaces the ground rather than excavating it.
Can precast piles be installed in sections?
Yes. Depending on the system and design, sections can be joined during installation.
When might precast piling not be suitable?
Driven installation may be less appropriate where vibration, noise or very restricted access are significant project constraints. Ground conditions, surrounding structures and site logistics should therefore be reviewed before selecting the method.
